THE BLACK AND GOLD DERBY PARTY SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISER

An Authentic Derby Experience

 

In May of 2016, a new tradition was born in Cleveland.

 

The Black and Gold Derby Party Scholarship Fundraiser is a fundraiser for the Delta Alpha Lambda  Scholarship Fund, which provides monies for deserving young men who are matriculating to college in the Fall.  This annual event is a collaboration between the Delta Alpha Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., (Cleveland Alphas) and the Delta Alpha Lambda Foundation.

 

The event, brings the pageantry, tradition, and fashion of the Kentucky Derby to Cleveland while allowing our attendees to invest in the future of a young person and the Greater Cleveland community. In addition to supporting our students, “The Derby” also supports small and  minority businesses by exposing them to hundreds of potential new customers and professional contacts.
